Jacinta has been passionate about health & wellbeing from a young age. She started practicing yoga in her early teenage years through her mum, an experienced yoga teacher herself. Her interest in health resulted in a Bachelor and Master in Health Sciences in Amsterdam. In the meantime she came across The Journey, a healing method developed by Brandon Bays. She was astonished by this powerful and effective, yet simple process to get rid of emotional, mental and physical unhealthy luggage or basically clutter of any kind. Since she was a little child, Jacinta had longed to live from her heart, but not knowing how to do that. The Journey answered her prayers and she is now an accredited Journey Practitioner.
In between her travels to Africa, doing voluntary work and internships, she met the love of her life, a kiwi block with Dutch roots. In 2011, she moved from The Netherlands to New Zealand to join her kiwi partner and she hasn’t looked back. Her love for yoga became vibrantly alive while living in Auckland and she decided to deepen her yoga knowledge and gain her teaching certificate through the Byron Yoga Centre. She realized this was just the start of a life long journey and she continues to study and deepen her self-awareness. She moved from Auckland to Whangarei in June 2013 and has been teaching yoga in Whangarei at different locations ever since. Einstein has put it beautifully: “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.” Yoga is a wonderful way to honor our sacred gift and calm our mind and connect with other people on a deeper level.
Since June 2018, Jacinta and her family have moved back to The Netherlands. She is now living in Waalwijk, Brabant in the same street as her mother. Currently, she is establishing herself as a yoga teacher in Waalwijk and surroundings. She is available to teach vinyasa yoga, yin yoga, prenatal yoga, mums ‘n bubs yoga, hatha yoga as well as one-on-one and corporate yoga sessions.
